Fanling Hong Lok Park is a public park, adjacent to Cheung Wah Estate. The park is designed with a Chinese Jiangnan Watertown theme, with a centre retention pond, extensive landscape areas with Chinese traditional styled architecture.
Out of the numerous water-lilies floating on the centre pond, Nymphaea tetragona Georgi, commonly known as Pygmy Water-lily or Small White Water-lily, is particularly noticeable with its white, bowl-shaped flowers with bright yellow stamens. These small white flowers and large peltate water-lily leaves garnish the still mirroring water body, creating the traditional Chinese garden scenery.
