Kwong Fuk Bridge is a footbridge crossing cover the Lam Tsuen River in Tai Po. The current footbridge is built in a Chinese traditional style after a few relocations in the past along the river. A row of Delonix regia is planted along the river to add seasonal interest and appropriate shade for locals and visitors along the river.
Delonix regia is a common tree species in Hong Kong. It is popular within landscape architects as a ornamental tree for its contrasting bright red flowers brings a striking visual stimulation to the green environment. These flamboyant red flowers blossom during early summer, brought out by its emerald green leave, decorates the Lam Tsuen River with its unique crown.
